Bridges of Hope COVID-19 Response Plan
A message to our community on Bridges of Hope services in light of COVID-19:
Bridges of Hope: Bridges of Hope main offices are now open.
To reduce the risk of spreading the COVID-19 virus in and through the workplace and protect our employees and guests, the Company is implementing procedures for measuring the temperature of all individuals coming into the Bridges and its Common Goods Stores and inquiring and observing whether any individual attempting to enter its premises has any symptoms of COVID-19 or related illness.
Any individual, whether an employee or visitor, whose temperature is measured to indicate a fever, who reports having or is observed to have any such symptoms, or who has recently been in contact with symptomatic individuals will not be permitted to enter any Company facility.
Common Goods Stores in Baxter and Crosslake: Both Common Goods stores will reopen on Monday, May 18. Please see the Common Goods page for more details on hours. Donations are being accepted by appointment only. Our online store remains open, and curbside pick-up is now available. Please continue visiting our web pages and social media for more information and updates.
Employees must wear a mask and shoppers will NOT be required to wear a mask, but it is recommended. Shoppers & staff will maintain social distancing of six feet apart in the store. Limited capacity occupancy will be monitored based on location. At our counters, plexiglass barriers/sneeze guards have been put in place. Transactions will be as contactless as humanly possible.
Operation Sandwich: Until further notice, food bags will be distributed on Wednesdays from 5:30 p.m to 6:00 p.m. at Sharing Bread Soup Kitchen. There are two kinds of food bags available-one for families who can cook and have a refrigerator and the other for the families who don’t. Families should ask for the bag that meets their requirements.
Operation Sandwich will be distributing weekly lunch supply bags on Thursdays. Each bag will contain 5 days of lunch supplies for your family, including bread, peanut butter, jelly, granola bars, fruit snacks, an additional snack of some kind, and fresh fruit and/or vegetables. Please see the Operation Sandwich page for more details and the request form.
They are also requesting non-perishable food items.
Per guidance from health officials regarding COVID-19 and the need for social distancing, our ACES and
Resiliency presentations are on hold. We are currently evaluating schedules and availability to reschedule.
