Retail Associate- Baxter
The Retail Associate that we are looking for has great customer service skills, greets customers, rings up their purchases, ensures that they have found what they are looking for, and promotes sale items and other relevant products to round out their sale. Additionally they will process donations and prep items for the sales floor.

Salary
$16.00 to $18.00 an hour based on experience.
$10.50 an hour for sleep time.

Essential Job Duties

Conduct initial screening & intake process for guests.

Ensure the safety and security of guests, volunteers, visitors, and staff.

Conduct room and personal property inspections at intake and during shift.

Provide orientation for new guests.

Understand and effectively respond to guest needs.

Participate in regular supervision with Shelter Coordinator by providing regular updates.
-
Maintain guest files, logs, and manage data in accordance with program requirements.
-
Work collaboratively with volunteers, contractors, and donors.
-
Assists guests with needs while in the shelter.
-
Assist with nightly cleaning duties of the facility, laundry duties, sweeping, mopping, bathrooms, and upkeep on the grounds around the shelter.

Able to provide empathy while working with the homeless.
